Michael Hampton, Managing Director
Michael Hampton began his aviation career as a British Army helicopter pilot serving in Germany, Northern Ireland and with the UN in Cyprus. On leaving the Army with an ATPL(H) he specialised in the finance and leasing of aircraft and helicopters. This led to joining CSE Aviation at Oxford and being responsible for sales with the Bell and Schweizer Helicopter distributorships and also obtaining an AOC for helicopter charter operations.
Michael served many years with the Army Air Corps TA Reserve and also as a member of the Management Council of the British Helicopter Association. He is a Freeman of the City of London and an Upper Freeman of the Honourable Company of Air Pilots.
In 1994 he left CSE to start Oxford Air Services, later to become Capital Air Services, which has grown into one of the leading “on shore” corporate helicopter management and charter companies operating throughout the UK and Europe.
